Strasburg for Ubaldo Jimenez?

Postby ShoelessDruw » Sat May 28, 2011 10:09 am

I'm in a NL 5x5 Long Term Keeper League and have just been offered Stephen Strasburg for Ubaldo Jimenez.

So far this season, I'm doing quite well "without" Jimenez. Losing him would hurt me in the strikeout category.
I haven't had a good feeling about Ubaldo since last August.

Keeper? Get that deal done asap.

I think Jimenez will eventually improve a little, but he'll never do what he did at the beginning of last year again.

Strasburg on the other hand...

If you're winning and Ulbaldo is playing this way, what's the harm in losing him now? Strasburg is gonna put up better stats than Ubadlo in the future. Pull the trigger. Good Luck
I guess there was no curse... Boston just sucked for 86 years...

Assuming you can keep a lot of guys and not just 4 or 5 then I would have to give this a shot. We are trusting you that your staff is fine without Ubaldo and that the league settings are conducive to an injured keeper, but those things being true, I like the deal.

Agree with rj here. If you can afford the "loss" of Ubaldo right now, and you get to keep enough players, I would take a shot with Strasburg. Could be a home run deal down the line for you. ;-D
