Very trades go through in this league because everyone is usually too afraid to get ripped off and hear about it all year. This one was proposed to me today, and it caught my eye. Might help both teams, but wondering if I should ask for more or accept it before he gets second thoughts.
HIS: Justin Verlander Colby Rasmus
FOR MY: Carlos Gonzalez
Standard Yahoo 5X5, 12 teams. I'm currently 3rd in Runs, 1st in HRs, middle of the pack BA and RBI, but second to last in steals. Pitching, I'm 3rd to last in Ws and Ks, 2nd in saves, and middle of the pack in ERA and WHIP.
Here's the roster:
C: Yadier Molina (Joe Mauer) 1B: Todd Helton (Ike Davis and Kendry Morales) 2B: Ben Zobrist 3B: Jose Bautista SS: Asdrubal Cabrera OF: Carlos Gonzalez, Jayson Werth, Mike Stanton UTIL: Carlos Beltran/Alfonso Soriano BN: Alfonso Soriano, Ike Davis, Joe Mauer
SP: Felix Hernandez, Roy Oswalt, Gio Gonzalez, Tim Hudson, AJ Burnett, Bud Norris RP: Leo Nunez, John Axford BN: Brad Lidge, Johan Santana
What do you guys think? Pull the trigger and drop a starter to gain in W's, K's, WHIP, and ERA? OR Hang tight and let Carlos do his thing?
Tempting. Does he have any outfielders better than Rasmus?
I might seek out someone a bit better than Rasmus only because of how cold he is right now but I'd probably accept that trade myself because I think Rasmus will heat up again once Pujols wakes up.
id keep your strong bat he hasnt even got going going him n crawford are both picking up but it should start to shred for both of them no more buy low on either one of those guys
and your pitching doesnt need help roy oswalt back your gonna get better in pitching

First, drop Santana. He's not going to help you in 2011. Are any good pure speed guys available on the waiver wire (Juan Pierre and the like)? If so, I take this deal, and try to pick up a pure SB guy to help out in that category. You need help on your pitching stats, and Verlander supplies that.
