I'll be a spoilsport and just say, we aren't far enough into the season for me to be surprised by players yet. A good chunk of these guys will still end up exactly where you expected them to be and all they had is a hot or cold streak.

Yes, 1/3 of a season is still a very small sample in baseball. Francoeur was mentioned as keeping it up this year. He is hitting .239 for the month and the power mostly disappeared over the past couple of weeks. He also has been bad against RHP with the majority of his value being he has clobbered LHP this year. This is a guy that most likely will end up around his normal stats for the year and just had a hot streak. Some of these cold players who look terrible will have hot months and look normal etc.
Take a loot at all star break splits for any given season and you'll see what I mean, guys have hot half seasons all the time, having a hot 2 months doesn't make me impressed by a guy, sustaining it does.

solid. i grabbed him and his 4 year $1.00 contract off the wire last year, and have had Avila and Jaso as my backstops in a 16 teamer all year. no complaints at all ....

This. Look at Tulo's end of august/september last year, where he hit 2/3 of his HR's, or Ubaldo's amazing first 3 months of the season which all went downhill starting in July
