Who are the best TWO long term starter pickups for the rest of the season in 8 team 5x5 head to head league?

1. Brandon Morrow
2. Erik Bedard
3. Dan Hudson
4. Bud Norris
5. Ervin Santana

Who is the better short term hitting pick up for a utility spot?

1. Carlos Beltran
2. Melky Cabrera
3. Alfonso Soriano

Thank you!!

Hudson is easily #1 of that group. The rest are kind of a similar level. Personally, I'd probably grab bedard right now. If you really need K's, Morrow or Norris are probably better options though.

For the hitters, definitely Beltran for now, while he's healthy.

Pretty much spot on here. Don't forget that Bedard is known for striking guys out still, so he won't hurt you in K's, it's just that Morrow and Norris are freaks and both are gonna be top ten SP in K/9. Morrow pitched yesterday against CHW and looked good, actually getting guys out instead of trying to squeeze out every K. I would lean towards him over Bedard right now, but either one of them looks good. Norris is a notch below those two as far as I'm concerned.

Beltran is the way to go for now, Melky is good but not flashy, and Soriano is crap.
Goldy is King.
