Belt is going to the minors, and Burrell is being released. do they need to do both in order to get Beltran on the roster?

Belt for the 25 man, Burrell for the 40 man (he's on the DL).

I get it now. I was thinking Burrell is on the Giants 25 man roster and the 40 man roster, so you could just release burrell and keep Belt on the major league team. but Burrell being on the DL means someone else was up to the 25 man roster when he went on the DL. you have to remove someone from the 25 man roster as well as someone from the 40 man roster.

Huff has been doing better over the last 14 days.

Huff is pretty much awful. also i've heard some people say that you can't DFA players on the DL so I'm not sure what's going on there.
