Bautista trade?

Postby Singles » Wed May 25, 2011 7:29 pm

I was offered his Fielder/M. Young/Weaver for my Bautista/Rios/Nolasco. If I accept I would have to cut someone (Hosmer) and grab a OF at least until Sizemore came back. Is this foolish to accepty comsidering I don't need another 1B. Young would be nice as would Weaver.

OK, thanks.

I wouldn't for the mere fact that you don't need another two 1B and you're losing bodies in your thinnest position.

I think you're selling low on Rios and he should have a resurgence in the near future.

What if I gave him Kelly Johnson or Hosmer instead of Rios. Young would be my 2B.

I'd pass on both deals. You're pitching is good. Nolasco has been great. I'd ride the Bautista wave!! ;-D I do think it's a fair deal, valuewise, but I'd rather have Bautista and Hosmer at Util, than to have to drop someone and pick up a free agent.

I wouldnt even think to make this deal if I were you. I can see why you are tempted, but it seems like your team is pretty stacked as it is. I really like your pitching and you already have your 1B locked up...plus Bautista is one of, if not the best player right now. I'd let it go and see if you can get another offer (it prolly wont be as tempting) without Bautista in the deal.

Please help with mine

I wouldn't take it, I am regretting trading Bautista away but he isn't showing signs of slowing down. I think his value will only increase!

Thanks for your help.

I would keep Bautista as long as he's hitting like a demi-god. The improvement you receive at pitcher is not as great, and besides, pitchers are almost always less consistent than hitters.
