HI, I was offered this trade in a 16 team Dynasty League: Julio Teheran/Manny Machado/Kyle Blanks for Yvonni Gallardo/Paul Goldschmidt/Alex Torres My current roster of SP include: Verlander, CC, Price, Hanson, Oswalt, Hudson, Pineda, Tillman, Matusz, and Alex White. We start 5 each week. Not sure what Blanks will play and I know that Machado is still 2 years or more away. Thoughts?

I really think Gallardo bounces back and has a big 2H. He's already shown signs of turning it around his last three starts, and I think he only gets better. In most leagues I say no to this. But with only being able to start 5 SPs, Gallardo should be riding pine for you until he really turns it around (or has two starts in a week). Even in a 16 team league, I don't see much value in the other four guys involved. So for me it would come down to whether I want Gallardo or Teheran. Gallardo is still young (just 25), and has shown he can throw full seasons effectively at the ML level. I stick with him over Teheran.

No, you could do better. I do hate Gallardo though.

Interesting....Teheran is projected to be an ace and is 4 years younger than Gallardo. Machado is projected as an elite shortstop. A bit surprised Gallardo is valued that much to keep.
