Who to add from the Wire, WHIR,LL! 110%

Postby KaPluie » Sun May 22, 2011 7:40 pm

I picked up Porcello for a spot start today against the Pirates, and he won me QSs and Ws, and made WHIP and ERA really close ... but I'm going to drop him for someone on the market. Here are the guys that are available ... my goal is to get a guy who has the best chance of either adding power to my team, or consistant pitching.

Available offense:
Aubry Huff
Gordon Beckham
Torii Hunter
Ryan Ludwick
Johnny Damon
Melky Cabrera
Mark Trumbo
Darwin Barney
Todd Helton

Available Pitching:
Charlie Morton
Jason Vargas
Kevin Correia
Chris Narveson
Tom Gorzelanny

Only room for one ... what do you think? Who's the best option going forward? WHIR,LL 100%

Huff. He could still hit 20-30 homers this year. and is 1b/of eligible.

If you rather a P - go Narveson. (I dont like Morton's BB/K rate)

Trumbo if you go hitter...

If you want a pitcher I'd just keep Porcello.

I say grab Narveson, he has been very good this year minus 1 or 2 starts. Great offense backing him, weak division, good K/9... what's not to like. If you would rather add a hitter go w/Damon. Narveson def my 1st choice though. Hope this helps. Take a look at mine please?

I appreciate your help! but I don't think dropping Uggla for Melky is a good move. I am considering Helton for Porcello though.

I've always wanted Helton, but someone already took him earlier in the season :-t
Why would you hold onto Uggla though? His batting avg. is .189.

Because its Uggla ... who drops Uggla? I could probably trade him for a pretty nice player if I wanted to get rid of him.
