HAMILTON is ON THE BLOCK. Offer??? WHIR

Postby Seanyfever » Sun May 22, 2011 11:48 am

I have placed Hamilton on the block. It does not mean I will definitely move him.... But I am looking for some pitching in return. I'd love to add one more studly type pitchers. How many pitchers are worthy of acquiring through Hamilton? The one tough move I made this year was giving up Anibal Sanchez for Chris Perez. I did this as I was going to move Brian Wilson with others to get Jon Lester. After I acquired Perez, the other owner pulled the Lester deal. Ugh! I also moved Pineda and Boggs for Wandy and Mo Rivera. I liked Pineda, but loved the value coming back. Still, I want another solid pitcher to round out my club. I have offense to move. It seems to me it is Beckham, Hamilton, or Young to move, but I like the flexibility that Young offers me. Allows me to load up on pitchers.

Hamilton worth.... I am thinking along lines of..... Other ideas are welcomed.
Halladay
Johnson (I do not see his owner moving him)
Lester

Give me a reply, and you will get a return gesture from me.....

I think the SPs you mentioned are along the right lines, though you may not be able to deal for one of them right away until Hamilton comes back and proves he's healthy again (hopefully starting tomorrow!). Your outfield is really strong even if you deal Hammy, so you can afford to deal him if you get the right offer.

Don't think I would have traded Pineda in a keeper for what you got. With Hamilton's health, if you could get any of those three, that would be a win for you. I don't see it happening. If he was healthy all year and continuing what he did last year into this, I think it would have been easier to go through. But right now, you are just trading to another manager that has to speculate that he's going to be healthy the rest of the way and continue like nothing happened..........

Ahy of those three are good, not sure if you could get them until Hamilton proves he's healthy. Your pitching looks pretty good already, do it if your losing pitching categories. viewtopic.php?f=26&t=431285
