My Castro/Heyward for his Reyes/Zobrist? WHIR!

Postby donald17 » Sat May 21, 2011 3:01 pm

10 team, Yahoo, H2H, 5x5 Standard Scoring

My Team:

C - Mike Napoli
1B - Joey Votto
2B - Brandon Phillips
3B - Adrian Beltre
SS - Starlin Castro
OF - Matt Kemp
OF - Jason Heyward
OF - Chris Young
UTIL - Alex Gordon
UTIL - Adrian Gonzalez
BN - Aaron Hill

SP - Dan Haren
SP - Francisco Liriano
RP - Carlos Marmol
RP - Jose Valverde
P - Max Scherzer
P - Zach Britton
P - Jhoulys Chacin
P - Jair Jurrjens
BN - Bud Norris
BN - Tim Stauffer
BN - Jordan Zimmermann
BN - Kyle McClellan
DL - Brandon Beachy
DL - Andrew Bailey

What do you guys think of the deal listed in the topic title? The guy who keeps offering me these deals really wants Heyward so I may be able to throw in Liriano from my team and get either Greinke or Jimenez from him in the deal as well. What do you think of either of those scenarios? Thanks a lot here and leave a link.

That seems like a pretty good deal. Reyes is a clear upgrade over castro, and Zobrist actually seems like the safer OF choice at the moment. You could try to get additional upgrades, as you have mentioned, but if this particular trade helps out with what your team needs, then I think you would have to take it. You'd be set to gain a lot of SBs, and could even gain better power out of this deal.

Make the move. Reyes and Zobrist rule. Heyward has injury concerns this year and Castro is replaceable. Reyes is the best player in the deal, do it.

Help please?
