aaaand Scherz the donk gets yanked 1 freaking out before qualifying for the QS. and of course hes lost the lead. jesus christ. how can this guy cruise along every game until the 6 or 7 and then, without fail, implode? time after time
It's tough to complain about Scherzer, especially with respect to wins/QS. He's 6-1, with 6 QS. With a 2.98 era. Please stop talking about him like he's ruining your team. He has been awesome.

Michael Pineda is just a sick, sick man. I have to credit Brandon Funston on this one, he was by far the loudest and most optimistic on him in the preseason, though nobody could have expected he'd be this good. He's arguably the better 1 dollar draft pick than Berkman so far, though those 2 would have to be neck and neck right now.
padres get the king tomorrow. Bedard, Pineda, Hernandez. what a brutal weekend.
As for Tomlin, he is available in my 15 teamer (23 man rosters). I had him a few weeks ago for a two start week that got rained out, but i really dont want him on my roster when he explodes. Im already starting Masterson in that league, and both Masterson and Tomlin have a tough schedule coming up.
@Tam @Tor Min @NYY
If they get through that unscathed, i'll believe in em.
anybody seen Pogo? if he got washed away with the floods, those shirts are going to be collectors items ..
Jerry Sands went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, the first of his career, with a walk Saturday, May 21, against the Chicago White Sox. "It feels good," Sands said. "I got it off my back a little bit. Obviously I hit a good amount in the minor leagues, but then I came up here and scuffled for my first 30 games."
Trivia
Mark Buehrle allowed two runs and seven hits Saturday, May 21, in a win against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He became the career victories leader in interleague play, notching his 24th regular season win against the National League.
whats left eligibility wise, shortstop?
Michael Young is expected to begin learning the basics of outfield play this weekend with instructor Gary Pettis. He said he was approached about the idea Thursday, May 19, when OF Endy Chavez (hamstring) went down with an injury.
Ron Washington said Saturday, May 21, that OF Josh Hamilton (shoulder) will serve as the designated hitter upon his return. He might be activated from the 15-day disabled list Monday, May 23, after finishing a rehab stint with Triple-A Round Rock this weekend.
Nelson Cruz (quadriceps) might return from the 15-day disabled list Monday, May 21. He is continuing a minor league rehab stint with Triple-A Round Rock this weekend.
