A lot of you may not know this, but our very own pogotheostrich has a fan club. He does. And i'm the President of that fan club.

It started many years back, when I noticed a bunch of posters repeatedly cooing over his replies to their queries in leftovers. And this wasn't just the normal "thanks" either, but actual blood pumping, two viagra swallowing, cooing.

It was so disgusting, that I decided right then and there to start a fan club for the guy. There was some talk between my personalities of merchandising the fan club, but it went nowhere quickly and the idea just died.

Truth be told, the fan club died primarily because the fan club president was obviously a pretty shitty fan club president, and said fan club president did very little to market the fan club.

But thats about to change.

I'm cranking out Pogo The Ostrich, T Shirts, Hats, and soon, membership badges.

Cubs and Red Sox rocking 1918 throwbacks tonight. Terry Francona on wearing throwbacks:

"Not good," Francona said. He tried the hat on and said he looked like Max Patkin, the Clown Prince of Baseball.

I saw the hat. It's just a plain white hat. That's it. The Sox are going to look like ice cream truck drivers.

The Red Sox home uniform will be a blank button-up with no lettering and a slight off-white or ivory color. The hat will also have a blank off-white tint, and the socks will be a three-part white/red/white composition. The Red Sox used this uniform and hat combination as their primary home look for most of the 1910s, and did not have any lettering on the front of their uniform for the bulk of that decade and the entire 1920s. The team did not wear the familiar blue cap with a red “B” until the early 1930s.

The Cubs will wear navy blue pinstripes and lettering on a grayish uniform. On the front left-hand side of the uniform, there will be a horizontal outline of a “C” enclosing “UBS” in smaller, navy blue letters. The Cubs will sport a five-part sock with grey, blue, white, blue and grey color sections. The road hat will have a navy blue bill and pinstripes (but no “C” or any other lettering on the cap). The Cubs used this uniform for only one season, as they changed their road uniforms on an almost-yearly basis during the 1910s.

I've been platooning this kid with Uggla and both of them are killing me at 2b.

I'm tempted to drop him for Seth Smith. It seems like he won't give me the 20 hrs and .280 I expected from him.

Yeah, it looked awful. But if Santana pitches like he did last night every time he wears that hat, I have no problem with it.
