Logan Morrison Trade

Postby DAtaris17 » Fri May 20, 2011 11:53 pm

I give:
Jeremy Hellickson
Koji Uehara

I get:
Logan Morrison

Hi all I could really appreciate some input on this deal. 12 team roto, 6 keepers per team. Ravaged by injuries at the moment, but in 2nd, my ranks are:

R: 12
HR: 12
RBI: 10
SB: 9
AVG: 10
W: 10
SV: 4
K: 6
ERA: 7

I'm +20 in IP (1,500 IP max)

I really need some live bats for while my guys are hurt, but I'm not sure if I need Morrison long term. However I'm not sure I need Hellickson long term either. I wouldn't keep him and in the AL East, he might not be much better than Stauffer, Holland, and Colon anyway. I'm concerned that Uehara will be Baltimore's closer soon and saves is my worst cat.

My current roster:

C - Buster Posey
1B - Billy Butler
2B - Howie Kendrick
3B - Alex Rodriguez
SS - Troy Tulowitzki
CI - Maicer Izturis
MI - Asdrubal Cabrera
LF - Jose Tabata
CF - Michael Brantley
RF - Mike Stanton
OF - Brett Gardner
OF - Allen Craig
Util - :::EMPTY:::
BN - Anthony Rizzo (NA)
BN - Shane Victorino (DL)
BN - Grady Sizemore (DL)
BN - David Wright (DL)
DL - Adam Lind (DL)

SP - J.P. Howell
SP - Shaun Marcum
SP - C.J. Wilson
SP - Hiroki Kuroda
RP - Chris Perez
RP - Mark Melancon
RP - Sergio Santos
P - Mike Adams
P - Koji Uehara
P - Matt Thornton
BN - Jeremy Hellickson
BN - Bartolo Colon
BN - Tim Stauffer
BN - Derek Holland
DL - Adam Wainwright (DL)
DL - Stephen Strasburg (DL)

Also team needs aside, I'm curious what you all think. From a pure value standpoint. I feel the FA hitters are much worse than the FA pitchers. As you can see injuries forced me to add Allen Craig. The other notable hitters are guys like Sam Fuld, Gerardo Parra, and Jonathan Herrera. For SPs however I could add guys like Jake Arrieta, Joel Pineiro, Tom Gorzelanny, Chris Narveson, and Jason Vargas. Not exactly stellar, but I feel okay about some of those options.

I would be fine with this, also, lomo has a lot more value than most people thought going into this season. However it happened, he discovered his power swing this year.

Hellickson I'm not as high on, given youth, and the AL east.
