Trade Help Please - A.Ramirez for E.Volquez (WHIR)

Postby Marauders299 » Fri May 20, 2011 8:49 am

Hi

I am in a 14 team H2H points league, and was offered the following trade.

I trade
Aramis Ramirez

and Get
Edison Volquez

Below is my team,

C Miguel Montero
1B Adrian Gonzalaz
2B Neil Walker
SS Jed Lowrie
3B Kevin Youkolis
OF Jose Bautista
OF Jay Bruce
OF Cory Hart
DH Luke Scott
BN Aaron Hill, Aramis Ramirez

SP Matt Cain, Shaun Marcum, Fausto Carmona, Kyle McClellan, Wade Davis,
Brandon McCarthy, Deric Holland, Barto Colon, Jake Peavy (DL)
RP Kevin Greg, Houston Street, Andrew Bailey (DL)

I have some depth at 2b and 3b as well as the back end of my rotation.

How do you think Volquez will do for the rest of the year?

Please let me know what you guys think, Does this improve my pitching?

Thanks

I really don't like the trade for you.

You don't need Aramis and yea his numbers aren't very good but in a 14 team league I'm sure there's someone that could use Aramis at 3b.

I had some high hopes for Volquez coming into this season but I don't know if those hopes will pay off.

I think you could do better than Volquez with Aramis. If you can't, I would rather hold onto him and wait it out then trade him now for Volquez.

What he said. You'd probably do better streaming the back of your rotation than you would with Volquez, assuming no transaction limits.
