need some rational advice, should i give up latos to get david wright and homer bailey. there is a huge question mark for both wright and bailey, but this might be an opportunity to buy an elite player for next to nothing i.e., Wright. my current 3b is longoria, so at best wright would become my U. my pitchers are: a. liriano, gio gonzalez, g. floyd, a. ogando, m. bumgarner, j. lester, d. duffy (i'd drop him for this trade), s. santos, h. street, b. morrow, e. bedard and b. norris. latos has tremendous upside, but the padres seems unlikely to score as many runs as they did last year and while latos historically has a low ERA, it seems far easier to pitch well with a lead than already down a few runs. thanks for your help. bailey could finally putting it together and he does play for an offensively oriented team. thanks, WHIR.

I'd accept this deal all day long, especially with the way Latos has struggled this season. Wright did play through the injury for a good amount of time, so I don't think it will be one that keeps him out for long past the minimum 15 days on the DL. Bailey is an intriguing SP option on a good Reds team.

You have plenty of pitchers and Bailey softens the blow of losing Latos, who hasn't been too hot anyways. This is a slam dunk and you need to accept now before he pulls the deal.
