I drafter Jimmy Rollins, but Asdubal Cabrara is still on the wire. Should I even consider this?

In the same boat we are. How's his ranking on yours?

On mine he's only behind Tulo and Reyes. Number 4 isn't even close so far.

My league adds more weight to RBI's though so that's where he seems to be beating out Rollins on.

I'm just wondering how long he can keep this up. If he does it all year he'll get 130 RBI's!

It depends on what your needs are and what type of scoring system you are using. If it's a typical 5x5, then I would say they are about even - slight edge to Cabrera. If your league favors RBI's then I would lean towards Cabrera. With Rollins seemingly entrenched in the leadoff spot, his RBI's will be suppressed big time. Cabrera is doing it all right now and while there should be a dropoff on some of his numbers I would actually prefer the younger Cabrera to Rollins right now.

On a side note, in what type of league are you playing where Cabrera is still on the waiver wire in mid-May?

I have Carlos Quentin on my bench, and I used a waiver to pick up Justin Morneau a couple weeks ago. I may drop one of them for Asdrubal, but I still need another pitcher. It is a head to head league, and I don't like to have more than one bench spot for position players. I just hate to get rid of Morneau, but I think he will have a bad season.

We have 7 players so the usual suspects are at SS of each team except for 2 surprises - Tulo, Hanley, Rollins, Reyes, Alexei, Starlin Castro, and a yankee fan with Jeter.

If I drop Rollins I'm pretty sure he will get picked up by the guy who owns Jeter. Should I do it??

This is an 8 team head to head league, and no one carries multiple short stops. He has been at the top of the wire for quite awhile, but I know he will be gone this week.

Should I let Carlos Quentin go for Asdrubal Cabrara? Looks like Quentin is falling back to earth after a good April.

I would not drop Quentin for Asdrubal. He has been good enough to consider dropping Rollins for, and with your leaguemates ready to pick him up I'd make the move.
