Konerko/Uggla/Capps for Miggy/Valverde (WHIR)

I was offered this trade

I give : Konerko/Uggla/Capps

I get : Miggy/Valverde

I would be picking up Cuddyer to sub in at 2b or might even try to trade away howard for a top tier 2b in a package deal. I have no problem giving up Capps. I think Nathan will take over soon anyways. I don't like losing Uggla/Konerko but Miggy's so tempting.

First the easy part. Valverde is definitely an upgrade over Capps, just for job security alone, I agree that the job will probably end up with Nathan at some point.

The second part of the trade is close. I always want the best player in the deal and that is clearly Miggy. I don't like the downgrade from Uggla to Cuddyer because I think Uggla will eventually start raking in what is a fairly good Braves lineup. However Miggy is such a beast its hard to say no to a top 5 pick in a trade.

Sorry I don't agree Uggla will start to rake. He isn't a rake kind of player. With him you get hrs with a low batting average from a weak position. But I take Miggy all day long.

Finally an easy one...this is a great deal. With Cuddyer to sub in for Uggla, Capps/Valverde an edge to you, and Miggy a laugher over Konerko, you are making out like a bandit here.

you get the best player in the deal and upgrade your RP. losing uggla hurts a bit but you should be able to find a replacement on the WW
