7th year 16 team keeper RATE

Postby Spinnas68 » Sun May 15, 2011 9:08 pm

Leagues been going awhile but seems like i've gotten lucky drafting the past few years and have a nice young team..we've kept 7 every year but this year were lowering it to 6. here it is. Stat categories are... R, HR, AVG, OPS, RBI, SB and W, SV, ERA, WHIP, QS, K/9

My offense has been pretty great now that Cgon is over the flu and whatnot. Got good pickups in Hosmer, Joyce, beachy (i know hes out for a little). my pitching has sucked. clay's is doing well finally and Morrow just had a great start finally after bein hurt. Liriano sucks, even though he had that no hitter i couldnt trade him if i tried. ive lost in era almost every week. just picked up norris and bailey for the backend. FA is slim pickins. So what do you think 1-10? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, thanks :-)

I would say your bench is a bit excessive for your line up, and should grab some more pitchers, for the most part I don't have any issues with your line up.

I like your lineup. I agree that you could thin out your bench and get a pitcher or two.

Your pitching could be a little shaky. Any way you could make a move for a legit #1 or a high end #2 SP? Maybe move Gonzalez or Kemp for a stud SP and an up-and-coming OF?

Read my mind! I've been trying to get a real #1 without moving kemp or Cgon. a few guys have been looking for a 1st basemen so i've been trying to trade konerko while hes still on fire (since i have hosmer and i'm confident hell fit in fine, and its a keeper obv so getting konerkos old self out wouldn't be bad) but so far no bites.

Also about my bench, i was reading that Chipper might be out 3 weeks-ish if he has microfracture surgery on his knee so i picked up Rolen who was the best 3b FA available

I'm in a 20 team league, and so I know what it's like to get an ace with that deep of a league. You may have to move either Kemp or Gonzalez to do it (as much as it would suck to do so in a keeper league).

Help with mine?
