I have Francisco Liriano and Chris Carpenter, and they have been terrible this year. I have more faith in Carpenter to come around, but the Twins are as bad as Liriano this year! If it wasn't for the no-hitter, i would have already dropped him. Do you guys think these guys will come around, or do I need to look for another option?
On the wire: Zach Britton, Daisuke Matsuzaka, Jeremy Hellickson, Brandon Beachy DL, Edwin Jackson, Brad Penny, Travis Wood, Rick Porcello, and Gavis Floyd. Any of these guys worth dropping Liriano?
Don't give up on Carpenter (I'm right there with you on that one bro). I'd dump Liriano for Britton or Hellickson, prob Hellickson if it were me. Hell has more experience and should stay more consistent. Britton has been great but won't keep that up, esp in that division (think Matusz last year, he was up and down all year).
I definitely think Britton, Hellickson and Beachy are worth it. Beachy was doing me well until he went on the DL though and he's supposed to be out a month.
Yeah they're in the same division but Hellickson has had more success for longer than Britton against that same division...plus personally I'd rather have my SP pitching against Baltimore than the Rays, just saying...I think Britton will come back down to earth while hellickson will maintain what he's been able to do...
there are a few stramers in my 10 team roto league, so I need to act now. Hellickson comes of waivers in a few hours, but Britton is out there. The consensus is drop Liriano right?
