Bourn for Werth?(WHIR)

Postby kidsilk » Sun May 15, 2011 3:24 pm

NL-only league, auction type keeper, 13 team league, currently in 6th place moving up, 30 man rosters, roto style, 5x5 cats, No bench unless injured or in minors.

I have been offered Michael Bourn for my Jayson Werth. The other guy wants a power source which I am third in the league and I need SB which I am second to last in the league. Is this a good deal for me? Here is my team:

I'm not a big believer in Werth, so I would pull the trigger. I would expect McGehee and CarGo to both heat up at some point and provide you a bump in power to make up for the loss of Werth. Bourn is an elite source of speed that should push you up the standings in SBs pretty quickly.

I would easily take werth over Bourn myself. Bourn is kind of a one trick pony.

Werth is nice, but I think only in spurts, and with Bournes speed he can get on base and get runs, turn singles into doubles all that, I would get Bourn
