I've been trying to work out a deal with this guy, and at this point I gotta try something as I've slipped to 10/18th place
Total Points League
I GIVE: T.Tulowitski, M.Kemp, B.Roberts, K-Rod (Drop Brandon Wood)
I GET: J.Reyes, A.McCutchen, D.Pedroia, S.Rolen, J.Hellickson
This is how I'm looking at it; Currently Reyes and Tulo ade tied in points, and with our scoring it doesn't seem like they'll be THAT far off.
Pedroia > Roberts Rolen is better than what I have at 3b in my Alvarez/Wood combo, and I keep P.A just in case Kemp > A.McCutchen, but AM is still good.
And in our league SP have greater value than CP, Hellickson has looked good.
Am I trying to hard to talk myself into something? Btw, I have no faith in Roberts this season
It is a fair deal. You are giving up the two best players in the deal but you are getting more depth in return. I don't love the deal but I could see how it would work well for you. Do you have enough RP to make up for the loss of KRod?
"In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move."- Douglas Adams
Relievers can only get Saves (4.5), Bsv(-2.5), Wins (12), Loss (-7), and K(1) BB(-1)
So KRod, off to a great start has around 70 points... But a guy like Hosmer already has 35, and looking at last season, the best closer had the same points as like Skip Schumaker.
Because I'm bored, I used Fangraphs and ESPN along with looking at what they've done in the past and kind of put the points to where I think the season projections will be on these guys...
The pitching was hard to project wins and saves. But with this, getting the Reyes side projects to have about 300 more points. Taking into account that Alvarez has given my basically 0 points thus far (30 Points)
You might be thinking too much about this deal but that is what is great about fantasy baseball. I say you take this deal. The only part I don't like is you giving up Kemp but you even it out otherwise. Take it.

Why is trading so hard... This guy rejected that, and countered with some ridiculousness. Basically the same trade but taking out Pedroia and adding B.McCarthy instead of Hellickson.
He's in 3rd place, using Hannahan all season, so it's not like losing Rolen is a huge deal for him. He's gaining probably the best SS, a better OF, and a passable 2B to sub in for Pedroia. And a 40 save closer I guess.
I still like my side, for my specific needs, but I'd think about 80% of people would take the Tulo/Kemp side.
