Trade Price and Hanson for Votto

Postby Jacksonvillezo » Sat May 14, 2011 10:37 pm

I have a chance to trade Price and Hanson for Votto. My team is below. It is a 12 team league and I rank 4 in runs, 4 in home runs, 8 in RBI (it is close here and can gain points quick here), 11 in SB, 6 in average, 10 in K, 12 in wins, 2 in saves (because of injuries), 6 in ERA, and 6 in WHIP.

McCann C
Dunn 1st
Prado 2nd
Beltre 3rd
Tulo SS
Andrus 2nd/SS
C.Pena 1st/3rd
Suzuki OF
Abreu OF
Markakis OF
Hunter OF
L.Scott OF
A.Jackson OF
Delmon Young Bench
Alex Gonzalez Bench
C. Ross Bench
D. Freese DL

Hanson SP
Price SP
Scherzer SP
Pineda SP
Morrow SP
De La Rosa SO
AJ Burnett SP
Padilla RP
E.Sanchez RP
B.Lyon Bench
B.Lidge DL

My thought is a decent amount of depth in SP this year and hitting is hard to come by. I am clearly giving up my best 2 starters though.

Getting votto would be great, but losing those two aces could dig u a huge hole in the pitching. I'd probably try to move a bat and one of those arms for Votto to avoid disrupting the balance of your team too much. Dunn showing signs... Maybe Dunn and Hanson?

Help me?

Why not, especially if it means you can get Carlos Pena off your team, lol. But yeah tough to pass on Votto. You can scrounge some wins together off the ww. Take the top 5 bat!

Well, I'm probably not the best advice in this area becaused I traded away Roy Halladay, Tim Lincecum and CC Sabathia this year lol.

I would grab Votto. He's a 5 tool player that's a legitimate first round draft pick. I was able to get Votto, HanRam and Matt Holliday in my trades so my offense is stacked and I get average pitchers and use the WW to stream. I'm not saying it's the best because I could use better balance, but I'd grab Votto if you can get him. Realistically, I'd try keeping 1 of those 2 pitchers, give him his choice and add a bat.

It would be nice to get Votto, but I'm not seeing how your staff can take that big of a hit. What's the other teams roster?
