McGehee help.... WHIR

Postby MiggyT » Fri May 13, 2011 3:32 pm

Who would you rather be trotting out at CI: Mark Reynolds or Casey McGehee? Currently holding onto Reynolds who's been absolutely brutal. Everyone could use HR's but it looks like McGehee will hit as many as Reynolds with Mark's weak new swing. Should I make the swap and finally replace Reynolds, or will Mark Reynolds prove more valuable than Casey McGehee?

This is a 5x5 roto league

i would replace reynolds.

i owned reynolds until a two weeks ago so i can feel some of your pain. i've followed him a bit to see if he'd start crushing homers, but he has been truly awful. how many categories you got? if you do 5x5, then i think this guy has to be replaced. is it h2h?

i don't think there's any way reynolds can be this bad. i think he's young too, maybe 27. i think reynolds will improve but mcgehee looks good. i don't know mcgehee well but his stats look solid especially for 3B. his last year's numbers look very similar to pablo's 2009 numbers. unless reynolds hits 40 homers (which i don't think he will) he's not going to be worth the .200 average

Thanks for the help on my post.

I would make the swap. Reynolds is a one trick pony, and if he isn't hitting homeruns your team is going to be hurting. I would full heartedly pick up Mcghee, no question about it.

I would definitely go with McGehee over Mark...I never once drafted Reynolds b/c he has horrible skills...really do not know why anyone values him, especially in fantasy, considering he is brutal in real life
