Drop Ian Desmond?? WHIR!

I have Ian Desmond at 2B/SS. Hes been a great source for SBs, but his low AVG has been tough to bear, plus I just dont know if he truly has potential for the 40-50 SBs that he's currently on pace for.

I'm in a 10-team, non-keeper, H2H 6x6 league. Offense categories are R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OPS.
I have Kinsler at 2B and HanRam at SS. My other SB sources include Wright, both Uptons, Adam Jones, and Longoria.

Should I keep Desmond, or drop him for a different 2B/SS? My FA options include Aaron Hill, JJ Hardy, Gordon Beckham, and Scott Sizemore. Thanks, and WHIR.

Desmond is nice with extra base hits... Triples etc. But since ur league doesn't count those stats per se I think u might be better off with Beckham ling term this year. He may struggle a but more but should heat up with the weather.

I like desmond and own him in one of my leagues, but my average is not suffering in that league. If average is your concern, I must point out that none of the options that you listed will help you in that category except for hardy but not long term. Desmond can very likely go 10HR 40 SB easy this year. That's very productive even on a stinky team. I stay long term with him over those other options.

I would drop Desmond for Hill, personally. I know Hill has had his struggles the past couple of years, but he offers good power upside for a middle infielder and should get his share of steals in that aggressive running offense. I think he's going to start getting it going soon.

I'd pickup Hill, he should start to heat up soon. Plus if Kinsler gets hurt then you'll have your power categories covered.
