I sacrificed some good pitching (Roy Halladay and CC Sabathia) to get good hitters. It's my first season in a 5x5 8-team head to head league. My team is:
C - Miguel Montero
1B - Joey Votto
2B - Howie Kendrick
3B - Michael Young
SS - Hanley Ramirez
OF - Ryan Braun
OF - Matt Holliday
OF - Jay Bruce
UT - Aramis Ramirez
UT - Derek Jeter
DL - Nelson Cruz
DL - Joe Mauer
SP - Shaun Marcum
SP - Jair Jurrjens
SP - C.J. Wilson
P - Michael Pineda
P - Ian Kennedy
P - Brandon Beachy
P - Kyle Lohse
P -
P -
RP - Brian Wilson
RP - Craig Kimbrel
RP - Huston Street
I am looking for thoughts on starting pitching? It's not very good, I know. The best waiver pitchers available are Daniel Hudson, Brandon Morrow, Ted Lilly, Madison Bumgarner, Colby Lewis, Edison Volquez, Jeremy Hellickson, Homer Bailey and Joel Piniero.
I'm looking for advice on who to put in my pitcher spots, or if I should use one of the two open spots to take Eric Hosmer for a utility spot instead. I'm also open to any advice on which pitchers to interchange for long term success during the season? Thanks a ton everyone!
