Can someone tell me what to expect from Lyle Overbay this yr

I hear he is going to bat 3rd for Milwaukee this year which theoretically means good RBI opportunities. However, I don't know much about the team at all. What do you folks think he will produce over the course of the season?

I do hear that he is hitting well in Spring Training, but in terms of his fantasy value, I'd say it's highly marginal at best. If you're talking about an NL only league he's probably worth a roster spot, but in a mixed league, he's not even on my radar as a waiver pickup at this point.

In any case, I really don't know too much about him, except that nobody seems high on him.

Overbay just doesn't have much power. He should be a John Olerud / Mark Grace type at some point, maybe even this year. But thats really not a lot of upside to get excited about when his downside is another punchless year like last year.

He's probably a nice value pick in a deep league, but if you're in a typical 12 team mixed he's not worth having.
