I play in the basic 5x5 mixed league and my pitching is solid. I've got Halladay, Verlander, Weaver, Price and Tomlin. My offense however is not getting it done. I've got Werth, Choo, Alex Rios and Markakis as my outfielders. I was offered a trade of Verlander for Pence. Pence does have pop and some speed and shit ton of rbis right now. Which I'm not sure he'll keep up being he plays for the Astros, but I was wondering what are your thoughts on this trade. Would you do it? Why or why not?

Can you see if he would take Weaver instead? I'd hate to move a guy who can throw 100+ mph in the ninth inning.
If not, you've got the pitching staff to part with Verlander if you need a bat bad enough.

true dat and weaver might have a lil more value in the trade for the way he started the year and lead the league in strikeouts last year
either way u want a 2 for 1 or make him give u carl crawford 1 for 1

I know what you mean. And with both me and the guy I'm trading with being Tigers fans we both kind of want Verlander. Do you think Weaver will do as good or better than last season? He started of so hot I'm tentative to let either pitcher go.Granted Weaver and Verlanders numbers will be fairly similar regardless I believe. But I do need a bat and right now I'm really disappointed in Rios and Werth, though both seem to be heating up.

Hmmm he does Have Crawford too. So I coudl pull that and you're right about selling high on Weaver. DO you think Crawford is better than Pence though offensively? I mean Crawford will give me runs, avg and sbs, but will lack in Rbis and Hrs. Whereas pence will at least swipe me 15 I'd imagine

Try a Weaver for Crawford? I think I would do that instead.
