basically J.Up for Cain + Hart.
as a Giants fan i love Cain but his fantasy value is slightly diminished because he doesnt post many K's and has a history of bad luck in the W department because of his terrible run support.
That said you have enough speed in kemp/jones/hanley/maybin/phillips that you can afford to lose Upton. Hart wont put up quite the R/RBI/HR numbers that Upton does, but you will get similar enough production from him that the upgrade to your pitching makes it a worthwhile deal for you.

Normally I would say pass. But you could really use the pitching help. I think Upton could possibly get a better SP straight up. But if you add in Hart and get to unload Volquez, then that would make it worth it. Volquez is WW material right now.

Second. These are my thoughts exactly. Plus, I think Cain will provide some pretty good numbers.

i'm curious as to why you value j upton so highly. for me, i would NOT give up kershaw, verlander, or lester for j upton. those three SP distinguish themselves from the rest of the SP pack. i'm not sure about upton. he's a 20/20 guy (which is very good, but OF is kind of deep, especially for speed). i think there's a lot of hype because of how young he is.
Regarding curiousity as to why I value Upton so highly: I value your thinking but personally feel Upton has opportunity for elite status. In '09 at 21 years old had 26 bombs with 20 bags and batted .300. At age 22 last year took a small step back but had BIG preasure on him to be the teams "man." He's 23 now and not even close to his peak potential. There is risk that he faulters but if he soars as I believe he will the sky is the limit.

I wouldn't do it, but that's just because I'm not big on Hart. Thanks for your help on mine.

no way j uptons high value here in our league he went 35th true to a zona diamond back fan but still 25 bags 25 homers 80 rbis sounds alot of runs if stephen drew continues his development j upton also a three hole hitter and hart is a 6 hole hitter
