He's taking fewer walks this year (BB%:9%, 2010: 11.2%) but he's also striking out less (K%: 21.2%, 2010: 30.7%). His babipity sits at .256, which implies at least some regression to career .334 levels. He's working things out right in front of us, slowly. Still raw, as his recent slump has shown him visibly frustrated. Only 2 HR on the road so far... But he's working through it all. If it clicks...
If it clicks for him, we're talking electricity. There are few players out there who post more than Upton, and that's before considering his imminent upside. IMHO a trade offering for Upton needs to fill way more than the hole he'd leave behind. I'm at least waiting until the weather heats up and the balls start flying.
