Soto just hit the DL.

Who would you pick-up until his return.....Iannetta or Arencibia?

Thanks

Iannetta while he's hot/playing at home for a long stretch.

Had to make the same decision today with Soto hitting the DL - I went with Iannetta

I have had Iannetta for the past few years waiting on him to break out. I am also a Jays fan so I see Arencibia a lot. For me, there is no question I'd much prefer Arencibia. Iannetta might have a hot streak that is more productive than Arencibia, but the much more likely scenario is Arencibia provides solid production whereas Iannetta kills you in BA and basically does nothing for weeks at a time. Yes, he will have an unpredictable hot streak every few months that make his overall numbers look decent, but unless you are looking for a fill in catcher to be your hail mary pass... pushing you over the top with a nicely timed but random hot streak... I have no doubt Arencibia is the much more reliable way to go. If we were two weeks from the end of the season and you needed to roll the dice and get a bunch of HR quickly... I'd say Iannetta... but personally I like my backups to be solid replacements and not high risk high reward.

Help with mine?
