Alex Gordon for Brandon Beachy? WHIR

Postby UMTerp29 » Thu May 12, 2011 11:16 am

Standard 5x5 keeper, 6 keepers per year. Been offered Brandon Beachy for Alex Gordon. Which side do you believe in more the rest of the year? I've been trying to sell Gordon, but no one really seems to be buying. He's been slumping so far in May, so I'm thinking now is a good time to unload him. I currently have him playing in the OF (ARod is at 3rd) with Kemp and BJ Upton. With Rios coming around and Logan Morrison coming off the DL, I'll have 5 OF guys for 4 spots (3 OF and 1 util). Fair deal?

Leave a link.

Depends on who you plan for your keepers. Post your whole roster so we can make more informed decisions for you. Obviously your keeping ARod, Kemp and Upton so that's 3 spots who would your other 3 be? I'd rather keep Gordon than Beachy long-term but that's just me...

I think you could get a bit more for Gordon. It looks like people in your league aren't believing he's the real deal, but I'd keep fishing around for now.

No way would I trade Gordon for Beachy. The upside or Gordon is much higher. To me, you don't NEED either guy, so it comes down to which is more valuable. I think you can easily make the case that Gordon is a highly desirable keeper given his pedigree, hype and (recent) breakout. I just don't see the same thing for Beachy. I know personally I'd consider keeping Gordon, so if he was available in a trade I'd definitely listen... Beachy...? Meh.

Help with mine?
