my Prado for Youk?? (WHIR)

Postby jpbusta » Thu May 12, 2011 9:47 am

I was just offered Youkilis for my prado. Normally I would have taken the deal right away but I'm actually a little hesitant because then I have to start Cuddyer at 2b.

Here's my lineup:

C: Vmart
1b: Howard
2b: Prado
3b: Wright
ss: A.Gonz
of: Ellsbury
of: Hunter
of: Joyce
ut: Konerko
ut: Ortiz
bn: Hosmer
bn: Cuddyer
bn: Furcal

Sp: Halladay, Lee, Oswalt, Scherzer, Myers
Rp: Fuentes, Capps, Melancon, Sanchez, Padilla

I understand your dilemma but at the same time, wen you have the opportunity to upgrade players, regardless of position, i think you have to do it...Youk will definitely outproduce Prado and even though Cuddyer is not the best option, you will still gain from Youlk what you would not have had if you simply kept Prado...if that make any sense to you haha :-D It's definitely a tricky question...you could always try to make some moves for a 2B as well, even if he's not top notch. What FA 2b are available? Any better than Cuddyer? Hope this helps a little bit!

Help w/ mine?

I agree, you should take the upgrade. It does put you at a tricky spot at 2B but the increase in value is too great to pass up.

You can always post these trade offers or ideas on tradebashers.com. You input the players and league details and the community of managers votes on which side of the trade they'd prefer to receive. So you know exactly how reasonable or lopsided a deal might be. It also helps when dealing with other managers so that instead of just saying, "your offer stinks," you can say "87% of managers think your offers stinks."
