3 Buy-Low Sell-Highs

Postby pmstick » Wed May 11, 2011 10:38 pm

After viewing this forum I've taken this concept to the next level. I hope I haven't gotten carried away.

I started the season 4-1 and have guys that I personally feel are playing out of their minds. Rather than be happy with that, I am trying to trade some of these guys for struggling guys of higher caliber.

So far I have made these three moves which I'm hoping improve my team.

Trade #1: Out: Tim Hudson, Asdrubal Cabrera In: Jose Reyes
Trade #2: Out: Jair Jurjjens In: Wandy Rodriguez, Joakim Soria
Trade #3: Out: Jake Arrieta In: John Danks

This concept is a bit tough because in each trade my guys are performing way under what I gave up and there's always the question of whether they'll turn it around.

The only one I'm worried about is losing Jurjjens who may break-out. As for Reyes and Danks, for what I gave up I'm thrilled.

Any thoughts are appreciated on this. Will these guys turn it around?

I'm pretty much in agreement with you. I'd say all of them are viable trades for the long run.

Check out the link below. That is CBS predictions.

Yeah, those are all good deals for you. Arrieta for Danks? In a heartbeat. Same with getting Reyes. Can't believe you got him for that. Well played.

I'm a fan of all three deals for you. Great job on capitalizing on some hot starts and getting the more valuable players back for the long run.
