So to follow up on a previous post...the guy wants Miggy badly...I offered him the following trade:
Holliday/Posey/Lester/Ellsbury/Kimbrel for Miggy/Buck/A Jones/RRoberts/Ogando
he counter with:
Holiday/Lester/Posey or Ellsbury for Miggy/Ogando and I would dump Buck, take A Hill off of DL and dump R Roberts.
is the counter offer he made worthy of my Miguel? Team and league setting below.
My Team: (12 team H2H keeper (5x5 - OBP replaces AVG) - basic positions with 2 util spots)
Buck
Miguel
Prado
Tulo
Gordon
Rasmus/Choo/JUpton
Berkman (1B/OF)/A Jones
bench - r roberts
DL A Hill and R Zimmerman
SP - Masterson / Danks / Hanson / Ogando / Garza / Kennedy / D Hudson / Cain
Santos / Storen

You upgrade starting pitching in a big way and catcher so I would probably do it if you feel comfortable with Berkman at first base.

That is the big issue...I'd be losing Miguel Cabrera...though I would be getting a lot in return...biggest concern is Miggy in his prime in a league where we keep 4. (last year I kept Zimmerman, Upton, Tulo and Miggy)

I imagine you would keep Holliday, Lester, Upton, and Tulo/Posey out of this group so you would be keeping 2/3 in the trade back. You aren't going to replace Miguel going forward but first is a lot easier to find than say C, it's a tough decision for sure.

I actually seem to like this trade from the start. Miggy would be a big loss but your also getting some major upgrades.

I'd take it ... Holliday can rake, Lester will get you tons of K's and the wins will come. I love Ells but agree you should take this opportunity to upgrade your C with Posey. It's worth the loss IMO.
