Drop Posada, Pickup Iannetta?

Postby BravesGuy » Wed May 11, 2011 10:24 am

Should I drop Posada and add Iannetta?

This is in a re-draft 14 team H2H league. Standard cats plus we count Walks.

Leave a link and I'll help you out.

Tough call but I think you should. Posada just looks done.
Ianneta is hot right now, and its probably worth it to pick him and see if he can keep it going. Worst-case, he gets super-cold and loses the starting job...there will probably be another catcher-option available to pick up as good or better than Posada. I dont think you're risking much in dropping old Jorge.

Plus, the fact that BBs count in your league makes Ianneta all the more valuable.

I can understand dropping Posada ... I dropped him myself for Avila. If you think he's done, Iannetta is a good pickup, but if you think he'll turn it around, you gotta keep him.

I'd be fine with this move. Posada has done a whole lot of nothing this season, and at this point looks very droppable. Iannetta is hot right now, has a large string of home games, and walks a ton.
