Is he even worth holding onto in 12 team leagues. Although he was heating up a little before he injury, he was off to a horrible start. Any reason to hold and think he can turn this around whenever he returns?

if you're out of DL slots, i'd drop him in shallower formats

Depends on who you're replacing him with...but now that he's on the DL I guess it's hard to keep him.

I'd cut him even if you had a DL spot available. There is probably a better player on the DL worth rostering than Vernan Wells such as maybe Johan Santana, Delmon Young, David Freese, Furcal etc. The VW Snatchback is absolutely horrible.
