Blockbuster deal for Miggy...WHIR

Postby CubsFan4Life23 » Wed May 11, 2011 10:03 am

So this guy is considering a major offer for my Miguel Cabrera...

Would you consider either of the following to be enough for dealing away Miguel Cabrera?

Holliday and Lester for Danks and Miguel

or

Holliday/Posey/Lester/Ellsbury/Kimbrel for Miggy/Buck/A Jones/RRoberts/Ogando

I like the second one a bit, but unsure if it's worth a top 3 guy in fantasy baseball

My Team: (12 team H2H keeper - basic positions with 2 util spots)
Buck
Miguel
Prado
Tulo
Gordon
Rasmus/Choo/JUpton
Berkman/A Jones
bench - r roberts
DL A Hill and R Zimmerman

SP - Masterson / Danks / Hanson / Ogando / Garza / Kennedy / D Hudson / Cain
Santos / Storen

I think Holliday/Lester for Miggy/Danks is fine deal value-wise, however, I'd be a bit concerned about what it does to your roster flexibility. It would leave you with Berkman at 1B (I'm assuming he qualifies there in your league), and FIVE players who are strictly OFs. Berkman is obviously a big injury risk, and losing him could be a big blow to your team.

I really like the 2nd deal for you. I see it as something like this:

Holliday < Miggy
Lester >>> Ogando
Ellsbury >> Jones (Adam Jones, right?)
Posey >> Buck
Kimbrel >> Roberts

Four significant upgrades, and the price you pay for that is just to replace Miggy with Holliday.

The second deal is much better for you. I'd be a little hesitant about the first deal, but if you need the pitching, its okay.
