Well, along with all the closer questions today:
Both Herges and Valverde are replacing their teams' first options to start the season (latest I've heard). Do you give them about the same upside for the next couple of weeks? Or would you take Valverde over Herges?
Thanks.

I have both of them on my team, and expecting 30-40 sv combing them. They both have good ERA and WHIP, so it only depends on Nen and Mentai. Whichever comes back first, I would drop him for the other choice. If I assume Nen and Mentai come back at the same time, I would lean to Valverde a lil bit.

I got them both in my auction for a combined $5. The only thing I would add is that if you are in keeper league and have to drop one, consider the fact that Valverde is probably the long-term solution in Arizona, while Herges is probably more a band-aid until SF finds someone to inherit Nen's role next year.

Valverde has the long term value. Both will do well while being used as closer. I have both on my team.
