Moreland and Freeman are pretty interchangable to me, but I'd give the edge to Freeman if for no other reason that the higher upside, particularly in a keeper (though I can't see you keeping Freeman over all that talent on your roster anyway, so that might not matter).
I'd say Moreland for this season. Freeman for the future. Considering you probably won't be keeping Freeman or Moreland beyond this season, I'd say Moreland for the time being.
In my opinion I would take freeman, and then maybe with one other player towards the end find a team lacking in keepers or trying to rebuild and package him for maybe a bat that can crack into your keepers and make your team better for the future. I think his name alone is better trade bait than Morelands and may strengthen your team down the road. Help with mine: viewtopic.php?t=430151
One note ... my team has been struggling. Will dropping Moreland for Freeman hamstring me too much in the short term, or will it be fine short term and great long term?
Your team is struggling because Pedroia, CarGo, Crawford, and HRam haven't been anywhere near their usual production. Dropping Moreland for Freeman won't make much difference. Until your main guys start producing like they should, you will be frustrated.
One thing you may consider; you have basically five ace pitchers (Halladay, Feliz, Linc, Grienke, Strasburg). Grienke is just now back, and of course Strasburg won't be any help this year. But, you could use one of your aces to upgrade first base. Just a thought. I have Hosmer also for the future, along with Belt, but for now I'm using Lind and/or A. Gordon for 1B.

Moreland because of the park he plays in and OF eligibility...Both have good discipline, but think Moreland does better this season...whereas in the future, they both will be productive...Moreland is more seasoned IMO
