Been offered Clayton Kershaw for:
My Pineda and Padilla.
12 team deep roto league, I am last in wins and first in saves. Losing Padilla would leave me with Axford, Walden, Melancon and Rauch(may not be involved in TOR now) as potential closers...
Do it? Would love to have Kershaw but cant decide if its too much to give up... I think that the M's may cap his innings eventually, not to mention not much run support....
Thanks! Leave a link, WHIR...

I'd do that. Definitely easier to add saves mid-season than solid starting pitching. Hard to say that Padilla will even necessarily still be the closer in a month with the committee of other possibilities there, though I'll grant he's been the best option for LA thusfar.

I'd do it as well. I like Kershaw a lot and he's a huge upgrade over Pineda IMO...not to mention, you know you'll get a full season out of Kershaw. and as far as Padilla...who even knows who will be getting saves in 2 weeks, 1 month, etc...
take the more solid SP and roll with Kersh
thanks for the help with mine

You have to do this trade. Like above posters, saves are easier to find through the season and Pineda, is a stud, will be on an innings count.

I think you have to do it. Pineda is exciting but Kershaw is a stud. I wouldn't lose a wink of sleep about including Padilla in that deal. I can't see him as a major source of saves in the situation he's in. Make the trade ASAP and be glad you did it.
