Even if every day Eddie does go down I think Shigetoshi Hasegawa would get the first look since he did really well in that position last year. they'll split time if anything.

He complained a few months ago when the Mariners publicized the idea of moving him into the rotation. He sees himself as a future closer. But it'll take an injury to Eddie before he closes and Eddie knows how to produce through pain.
