My pitchers are:
Chad Billingsly
Max Scherzer
Roy Oswalt
Shaun Marcum
Jonathan Sanchez
Matt Garza
Ricky Nolasco
Wandy Rodriguez
This is a 12 team Keeper Points League with the following scoring details for pitchers:
Blown Saves: -3 points
Earned Runs: -1 point
Holds: 5 points
Innings: 0.5 points
Strikeouts: 1 point
Losses: -5 points
Pick Offs: 1 point
Saves: 6 points
Shutouts: 3 points
Wins: 10 points
I know Latos has talent and definite long term value, but my strategy is to go for it every year. I have enough keeper type players that I don't want to pick a guy up just for long term value if he is going to hurt me this year. I fear with Latos slow start that he may have shoulder or arm issues. Has anyone watched him? Has it just been bad luck? Does he still have his stuff, or is this guy in line for a rough year? Thanks for the help. WHIR.

I definitely take Latos over Wandy, both this year and long term. There are a couple other guys I'd rather have Latos than (Billingsley, Nolasco, maybe Sanchez), but Wandy is the least of that group.

He came back to earth at the end of last year and I am not sure he will get things back together this year. Long term, I would probably pick him up but you are looking for the now, then leave him be. I wouldn't be all that surprised if Latos was still there a few weeks from now and if he starts looking like he might have figured something out then I would make that move.
This is correct. Don't drop a guy that has actually been pretty solid the last 2 seasons and is showing life finally this season (Wandy) for a guy that really hasn't shown much but for half a season or so. Stand pat and let someone else deal with the headache of Latos.

I will also agree. For this year, I'd rather have Wandy than Latos. Next year I think that changes, but if you are going for it this year, I would not make that move.
