Teixeira/Andrus for Longoria/AlxRamirez? ..WHIR

yahoo, 5x5, 12 team, DEEP 28 roster spots.

give- Mark Teixeira, Elvis Andrus.
get- Evan Longoria, Alexei Ramirez.

thoughts?
looking for 3B. had Freese. he went on the DL. currently have Chase Headley and Ryan Roberts.
I have tried to get so many 3B, with no luck.
should I be concerned with Longoria? if he has numbers similar to 2010, is he really elite on the level of Teixeira? I don't think the Rays lineup is that good around him to get him 100/100 R/RBI. then again with his "name" I could have an easier time flipping him for another high level 3B AND help elsewhere.

should I be happy with this, or try to get more value on my side?
he is in 1st place and the only category he needs help in is SB. which is why I could give him Andrus for Alexei.

I say you do this without much thought. Longoria will put up better numbers than a consistent Teix this year in my opinion and the other two are a wash. I would take Longo and run.

Absolutely do this. I have no clue why the other guy would want this trade though. Longoria is better than Teixeira. I feel Alexei is better than Andrus (unless you really need steals).

I think you hit the nail on the head here. I am nervous that Longoria no longer has the supporting cast, specifically Crawford, to score as many runs and rbi. However, flipping him is certainly an option, but for who? If it's not for Wright (who is playing injured right now, btw) there is not much else out there in terms of even medium level 3B talent.

My gut says to stand pat with Tex.

I'm not as convinced that Longoria is better than Teixeira (yet), but I'd probably go ahead with it because of the upgrade at SS.

On a side note, I don't think I've ever heard of a 12 team league with 28-man rosters. Free agency must be a wasteland. My 12-team league has talked about moving to 25 players in recent years, but we have yet to pull the trigger.

I say you do this trade now......... Ramirez will heat up and surpass Andrus and you have Adrian on 1st right now, and Huff has to pick up sometime to plug the CI slot...........
