Use waiver claim on Vernon Wells ?

Vernon Wells just hit waivers in my league. I've got 5th waiver priority and am considering putting in a claim and dropping Nick Swisher or Brian Roberts, as Vernon's splits show he historically has mediocre numbers the first month of the season before picking it up a bit. Thoughts?

I don't think he's worth picking up over anyone on your roster, let alone using a waiver claim on him.

I would rather have Wells than Nick Swisher. Swisher might have power, but he will have a bad AVG. the AVG he had last year was a fluke. he had .335 BABIP last year and he has never had anything like that before.
I also think it's fine to use a waiver claim.

Sorry I gotta Disagree with the last post. I wouldnt drop swisher for vernon at all. I dont think Vernon is worth grabbing honestly. Doesnt really fit with your team.
