Broxton droppable in Dynasty League?

Postby superjags99 » Mon May 09, 2011 5:17 pm

Hey guys,

I'm in a 10 team Roto 5x5 Dynasty league, we're currently in our 5th year and I need some opinions on whether or not Broxton is droppable in a league like this. I'm leaning towards no and holding on to him for the next 6 weeks while he is on the DL.

My 2 DL spots are currently occupied by Wainwright and Sandoval which I won't drop either, and I also have Delmon Young, who is also on the DL, sitting on my bench.

Currently, I'm 2nd in Saves with Valverda, Putz, Papelbon and Feliz closing out games for me.

As I said earlier, I am leaning towards just holding it out with Broxton and hoping he gets a shot at regaining the closer role. I don't really have any glaring holes anywhere in my lineup except maybe 3B where I have Reynolds filling in while Sandoval is sidelined.

I think in a 10 teamer you should probably hang onto Broxton. If you really need the wiggle room on your roster, and if enough hitters are available on the wire, I might drop Delmon... But only if you really need the roster wiggle room.

help me out?

I'd hold onto him in your case. I'm not overly optimistic he'll ever regain that 100 mph flamethrower status, but in a dynasty league I'm sure someone else would snatch him up if you dropped him.

I agree that you have to hold on to him for now. If he doesn't start closing for the Dodgers again, perhaps they trade him to a team that needs a 9th inning guy? But I think he gets one more shot at it in LA first.

Should I give Cliff Lee to get Evan Longoria? Help here please:
