Last Deal Was Vetoed. Do This Prince Trade? WHIR

I recently did a Prince trade that was vetoed. Can you tell me if this deal will likely go through and if I should do it?

THE NEW DEAL PROPOSED TO ME: My Granderson, Alexei Ramirez and Eric Hosmer for His Prince Fielder and Brett Wallace

I think the problem your league sees is that your getting a top tier keeper in this trade and not giving up much, a similar keeper, in return. Just looking at your team you have a multitude of players you can keep: Ramirez, Gonzalez, Rodriguez, Halladay, Hernandez, Lincecum, Strasburg and possibly Hosmer, Pedroia, Ellsbury...of which none were in the first trade. I don't know what his lineup looks like, but he's selling real low on Fielder. The new deal is better with you including Hosmer so I'd definitely accept and see if it gets vetoed again.

I know it's gonna sound silly, but do I improve my team with the deal? Obviously Prince is a great keeper, but do I shed too much depth or is it worth it to secure Prince?

This deal is definitely worth it for you. Prince is a big boost and definitely a solid keeper. You definitely wouldn't be keeping any of the players you're giving up. And as for this year, you're only losing one starter in exchange for a big upgrade at 1B.

However, since the last deal got vetoed, this might as well. Alexei is absolutely a solid addition (and doesn't hurt you since you have Hanley). It all comes down to how much your league values keepers and how much they value Hosmer's potential.

I'd definitely try this trade and if it gets vetoed, no harm.

Believe me, I respect and appreciate all comments about this deal in terms of the risk of it not going through. But Yes, I agree that it was a sham that the last one was vetoed. Hopefully this one goes through. I have accepted.
