I started off well, going from 1st to 3rd, 3rd to 1st, etc... Now I've dropped to around 7-8.

Most of my team is under performing or slumping it seems.

I don't think I've ever seen a points league not consider runs/rbis, and I guess I understand the reasoning, even if I don't agree with it.

Anyway.

I don't like bonifacio, I don't think many do. Your line up seems to be lacking pop, and your tail end of your SP looks shady.

With a points league I would prefer 2 tim hudsons, than one tommy hanson and a A white/ J Mcdonald. Try and see if you can move some of your weaker starting pitching in a package deal for some legitimate starters, but no need to pay for an ace.


Also, I would sell high on wallace, not only will his k's keep hurting you, I highly doubt he can maintain his hitting all season, with his plate discipline, ala reynalds.


All of that said however:

For an 18 team league, I think you've put together a contending team, with just a few minor adjustments I'd make.

It probably seems weird that there's no Runs or RBIs, but there is... I just forgot them.

RBIS 1.5

Bonifacio is just a super-sub at SS and OF on Monday and Thursdays.
I took the "Wait for pitching" approach, and have dropped a few guys since then... Picking up McDonald, White, Pineiro, etc.

And I'm actually #4 in HR, and #6 in doubles, RBIS I'm in the middle of the pack.

I think if Rios can continue not to stink, and Werth picks it up I can be OK.
I traded for Brian Roberts a few weeks ago (Valverde traded away) and kind of wish I didn't know. I didn't know Beckham would be just as good at this point... Should have just stuck with him.

One more thing, I'd like to package a few lower SPs from my staff, but nobody is really sexy enough you know?

maybe a Mcclellan/white package or substitute humber/arriett.

A bunch of these guys just had good showings.

It's not a keeper league.

And I just keep dropping... down to 10/18

It's tough when every single player on your team is basically hitting .220

It seems impossible that night after night 9 hitter can only average about 5 Hits.

I'm shopping currently shopping a Tulo package, trying to get like a slight/mid downgrade at SS (S.Drew, J.Reyes) and others to fill in at 3B and 2B.
Something like J.Reyes, Pedroia, Rolen.
I don't know.

Every single night basically I'm 0-8 or 1-9 at those 2 spots, just killing me. Along with those fun 0-5, 3K Werth days.
