The better RP?

Postby 910BronxBomber » Mon May 09, 2011 1:49 pm

I'm currently trying to choose between two RP for one spot on my roster. This is a 16 team dynasty keeper league (meaning I keep my whole roster for next year). The scoring categories are holds, ks, whip, era, bb, saves, k/bb, and wins.

Pitcher 1 - 16IP 12H 6ER 3BB 14K 2W 7H 3.38ERA 0.94WHIP 4.67K/BB
Pitcher 2 - 14.2IP 14H 11ER 10BB 25K 1H 6.75ERA 1.64WHIP 2.50K/BB

It looks like an obvious choice for pitcher one when you look at the numbers, but when you factor in the names and upside that goes along with each, it becomes a little more murky.

Pitcher 1 - Joba Chamberlain
Pitcher 2 - Kenley Jansen

I'm pretty high on Kenley, but given the state of the LAD bullpen right now, I'm getting close to cutting strings with him. He finally earned his first hold last night, which prompted me to ask for others opinions on the matter before I set him free to the wire. Obviously, I know Joba's situation, and what he did last year (as well as the years before that). Any thoughts or opinions?
