Madson, Hanrahan, Gregg, or Capps? WHIR

Postby crazycooter » Mon May 09, 2011 12:04 pm

I currently have Madson (PHI), Hanrahan (PIT), Gregg (BAL), and Capps (MIN) closing for my band of misfits. However, I can only keep three of the four due to another personnel move that has to be made. So, which one should I drop? The only potentially important league set up consideration is that it is a weekly head to head league. So, consistency would be nice.

If you want, leave a link and I will offer my worthless thoughts on your conundrums later. :-B

You mean which three should you keep?

My vote would be for Hanrahan, Gregg and Capps.

Hanrahan > Capps > Gregg > Madson

Madson would be the first one I drop, he's never been spectacular as a closer and I just don't trust him giving you much value.

I drop Madson. He's a better option than Gregg but once the Phils bullpen gets healthy (Contreras, Lidge), it's going to be murky for Madson.

That's what I was thinking. The other three seem to have their jobs locked up barring complete disaster. This was one of those deals where I knew what I should do, but I needed to hear somebody else say it.
