Mike Stanton trade WHIR

Postby tonyobonyo » Mon May 09, 2011 1:46 am

Here is my roster

14 team, H2H, 5x5 non-keeper

C Alex Avila
1B Adrian Gonzalez
2B Ryan Raburn
SS Derek Jeter
3B Jed Lowrie
OF Colby Rasmus
OF Carlos Beltran
OF Matt Joyce
UTIL Billy Butler
B Juan Pierre
DL Pablo Sandoval
DL Nelson Cruz

SP Jon Lester, Ubaldo Jimenez, Brandon Morrow, Daniel Hudson, Madison Bumgarner, Jordan Zimmermann, Zach Britton, Josh Tomlin, Jake Peavy
RP Jonathan Papelbon, Chris Perez, Mark Melancon, Ryan Madson

As you can see, I am desperately in need of power, especially with Cruz and Sandoval both on the DL. I'm trying to get Mike Stanton from another guy, but it's been tough trying to get something worked out. Here is his latest offer:

He gets Colby Rasmus and Brandon Morrow

I get Mike Stanton and Kyle Mclellan

I think I should probably ask for more. I do like Stanton more than Rasmus, but I prefer Morrow a lot more than Mclellan. What do you guys think? Ask for more/give him less? Just to give you guys come more info, here are the other guy's pitchers:

Felix, Josh Johnson, Kyle Drabek, Kyle Mclellan, Chris Young, Vance Worley, Bud Norris, David Price, Jason Marquis

Thanks, WHIR

Well I dont personally rank Rasmus below Stanton so in my eyes you would get worse in two roster spots.

If you do this be sure Stanton is gonna be better.

Is he very particular about which pitchers he deals? If not, you might offer him a third player in Britton or Tomlin and see if he will give you Price instead of McClellan. It may be a long shot, but depends on how much he likes your guys.

help me out?

I don't like that trade at all for you. As an above poster said, I don't really think Rasmus is below Stanton, and no way Morrow is below McClellan.
